IR Break-Beam Sensor
The Features of the IR Break-Beam Sensor:
The Break-Beam sensor, consists
of two components, an IR transmitter and an IR
Receiver.
The IR Break-Beam
is compatible with both MIDA and EMIDS systems. This
system uses 2 volts positive pulse output to trigger the transmitter..
It has low-power consumption.
IR receiver power is supplied
from the RF transmitter. Requires 9 volts
D.C.from the transmitter. Used the LoBo or Spider transmitters.
Operating temperature:
- 40 degrees to +65 degrees Centigrade.
Low-battery detect
circuit shuts the unit down but will not cause a false alarm.
When the IR Break-Beam
sensor detects an object, the green LED will turn off for
approximately 1 second.
The IR transmitter
is powered by 6 D-cell batteries.
The range between
the transmitter and the receiver is 13.7 meters or 45 feet.
The IR transmitter
and receiver will operate with an input of 5.2V to 15Vdc input.
Applications include:
Home / Industrial
automation.
Alarm / Security
systems.
Power Consumption:
The IR receiver draws 980 uA of current. The IR transmitter
draws ~ 17ma of current.
