Wireless Data Logger
VMR Communications Ltd. was approached to develop a
means of recording remote event. Recording year, date, hours,
minutes and seconds, the Wireless Logger would have to be battery
powered with low-current consumption. A workable product was developed
in late 2005.
The features of the Wireless Logger
include:
A 15-character
unit name.
The Wireless Logger
has two modes of operation.
A: EVENT MODE - records time event happened. B: EVENT-TIMING MODE
- records 'time on' to 'time off'.
Computer programmable.
User-programmable
features include:
A: 15-character unit name.
B: Set-clock data.
C: Reset page and address to zero.
Green LED D4 (power-on
indicator) and event recorder.
Yellow LED D5 (downloading-data
mode).
Red LED D6 (terminal
mode) flashes on data download.
The Wireless Logger
is powered by 6 D cell batteries giving about 30 days of operation.
In event mode,
the Wireless Logger will record 180,224 events.
In event-timing
mode, the Wireless Logger will record 90,112 events.
8 user-selected
channels.
Operating temperature
-40 to + 70 degrees Celsius
1000-feet range
(under optimum conditions).
Power Consumption:
The Wireless Logger current consumption is normally
~ 19 mA.
